It went to a good home: I gave it to a Jewish colleague who will probably understand its setting a lot better than I did. And if she doesn’t like it, she can pass it along to someone in her Talmud class.

Chris, I’ve heard so-so about the novel but I’m still quite happy to give it a go. Also: YOU GIVE BOOKS AWAY WITHOUT ASKING ME IF .. if I want to pay overseas potage.. yeah. ahem.

I also picked up The Yiddish Policemen’s Union because I liked Kavalier & Clay. It didn’t really do anything for me, though. I’ve just given my copy away.
