World, Start Making Sense
As I'm writing this I'm wearing:
- underwear
- a t-shirt
- a sweater
- a quilted fleece (Other Half's)
- a pashmina
- trousers
- two pairs of socks
- fleece gloves
- fingerless gloves on top
- and a hat
And I am still cold. I'm half-tempted to fill our hot water-bottle and sneak it under my clothes so I can find some extra heat somewhere. Also, how do I stop my nose from falling off? I am a knitter, for heaven's sake, and Scandinavian to boot, so why can't I get warm?
PS. LOLbrarians. Thanks, Dave.

Evil rumours say that Britain is known for its cold houses…

You probably need at least another layer of clothes lol. I used to wear two complete sets of clothing when I lived in a cold flat in Aberdeen.
At least its not snowing around here – it was snowing when I left York this afternoon.

Long sleeved underwear is the answer! That, or making love. The two can be combined.

Woolen underwear is said to be the best way to keep a stable body temperature. So maybe a woolen tops and some tights?

I have long-sleeved thermal tops from M&S – they definately help! That and my hot water bottle!

@all: BUT MY NOSETIP?
Turning up the heat has helped, of course, but I shall hunt down sexxy woolly underwear asap.

You could knit a little thing for your nosetip with ribbons to tie around the back of your head. BTW, if you do, I wanna see piccies of you wearing it! :-D
