World, Start Making Sense

As I'm writing this I'm wearing:

  • underwear
  • a t-shirt
  • a sweater
  • a quilted fleece (Other Half's)
  • a pashmina
  • trousers
  • two pairs of socks
  • fleece gloves
  • fingerless gloves on top
  • and a hat

And I am still cold. I'm half-tempted to fill our hot water-bottle and sneak it under my clothes so I can find some extra heat somewhere. Also, how do I stop my nose from falling off? I am a knitter, for heaven's sake, and Scandinavian to boot, so why can't I get warm?

PS. LOLbrarians. Thanks, Dave.

  1. Evil rumours say that Britain is known for its cold houses…

  2. You probably need at least another layer of clothes lol. I used to wear two complete sets of clothing when I lived in a cold flat in Aberdeen.
At least its not snowing around here – it was snowing when I left York this afternoon.

  3. Long sleeved underwear is the answer! That, or making love. The two can be combined.

  4. Woolen underwear is said to be the best way to keep a stable body temperature. So maybe a woolen tops and some tights?

  5. I have long-sleeved thermal tops from M&S – they definately help! That and my hot water bottle!

  6. @all: BUT MY NOSETIP?

Turning up the heat has helped, of course, but I shall hunt down sexxy woolly underwear asap.

  7. You could knit a little thing for your nosetip with ribbons to tie around the back of your head. BTW, if you do, I wanna see piccies of you wearing it! :-D

  8. Chris: I haven’t sent your Xmas pressies yet. Think about that.

  9. Neither have I. I haven’t even bought them yet. Think about *that*. :-P

  10. Ooooooooooooh! Snap!!!
