It Explains A Lot

Thanks, Palnatoke:

“Every June, Scotland is towed 1000 miles south so it can have a summer. Only 10% of people in Scotland know this.”

And here’s visual proof.

PS. I was reminded by Stuart that I haven’t mentioned this piece by Andrew O’Hagan. I read it this weekend and I was disgusted by its smugness, sense of superiority and general air of condescension. Fie.

Lol at the map. It would explain the occcasional very sunny June weather that we get.

I’m not fond of Andrew O’Hagan and that article was a lot of nonense. You can’t just dismiss a whole level of society like that. There’s been plenty of social activism within the English working class during the 80′s and I really don’t think you can lump all the people in a country together like that – the North and South of England are completely different in so many ways. I also find it hard to believe that Andrew O’Hagan wouldn’t have relatives living in England as most Scots do.
