@Meg: The original neckline was asymmetrical (using short-row shaping) with buttons up the side so you could have the collar in various ways. The yarn is too drapey for that. I might use that collar in another jumper.

also, thank you for linking to that chocolate and beetroot cake in your last post – my flatmate and I got a glut of beetroot in our veg box and were pondering what to do with it. Now we have cake. Mmmm, cake!
