We walked along the river today (two days later) and the water has receded a few feet. I’m still worried because we are promised more rain.

And, mutterpagh, “dreich” was the first Scots word i ever learned.. for reasons which become very apparent once you’ve visited Scotland in November..

i heard about the floods this morning. Sounds really worrying!

Wow. It’s hard to imagine that just over a week ago, I’ve been in some of the places in Cumbria that are now shown; flooded… We *just* missed it, then. Which is probably a good thing :/
