Phew, seeing your Georgette Heyer splurge makes me feel a lot better about the number of times I’ve been sidetracked from the course of literary self-improvement this year.

And you’ve inspired me to keep track of what I read in 2010. It may be shameful.

And finally, I am assuming you’ve already read The Third Policeman. Ace. And short.

@bells: I have just always struggled with contemporary US authors and some Canadians. It never really “clicks” – maybe that is also why I didn’t like The Time Traveller’s Wife?

I found the Time Traveller’s Wife gripping in spite of myself but then I’ve always totally loved time travel stories.
