I bought it at the airport on my way to Denmark last year and threw it in a bin at Copenhagen Airport having decided that life is too short to wade through descriptions of such unpleasant encounters with details that I'd really rather not know. I tried reading it last year after numerous rave reviews, but I couldn't get into it. Way too many characters whose relationships were no more than a list without reason and a plot that I didn't care to see advanced. It felt very contrived for me, and I quit after no more than 100 pages. It wasn't badly written, just not my thing. I'm glad that someone else feels similarly, especially after so much hype.
