I don’t go to see many films these days (long story) but I have a feeling that I might just have to go see Inception. The trailer looks very Dark City-esque – and that is a compliment.

Its about the only film I’m looking forward to this summer. I’m hoping it won’t turn out to be another Vanilla Sky; great looking but shallow and opaque.
What I really want to see is Kubrick’s 2001 with a live orchestral accompaniment which is performing in London this week.
Angela, sadly I’ve never managed to stay conscious during 2001. In my defence, I had the flu both times I tried watching it. Seeing it with a live orchestra would be quite something. I’ve never managed to see Barry Lyndon either. Hm.
I cling to the fact that Inception has a classier cast than Vanilla Sky. Plus I do like my noir-ish sci-fi (I recommend “Franklyn” despite its flaws).
