Karie is a published writer and a keen photographer. She hails from Denmark originally and holds two Danish university degrees. Nowadays she lives in the leafy, bohemian West End of Glasgow, Scotland with her partner David.
Her academic interests include print culture, modernist poetry and the emergence of English as a literary language. She is also interested in typography, artists’ books and collects early 20th Century paperbacks as well as signed Alasdair Gray first editions.
Her non-academic interests include 1940s and 1950s Hollywood musicals, found objects, New Zealand culture, and the Eurovision Song Contest. Recently she has rediscovered knitting which has taken over her life (and, some would say, the living room).
Fourth Edition is Karie’s fourth weblog. She has been blogging since 2001 and has no intention of stopping.
